Advanced catalytic infrared drying

Why our Schubox® system makes a difference.

Faster turnaround, superior finish quality and longer-lasting results for spray-painted MDF, joinery and bespoke interior components.

Controlled curing from within the coating film.

At PaintSpray, we use the advanced Schubox® Catalytic Infrared Drying System to deliver faster turnaround times, superior finish quality and longer-lasting results on our spray-painted MDF and joinery projects.

Unlike traditional hot-air drying methods, the Schubox® system cures coatings from within the paint film itself using catalytic infrared technology. This creates a more even and efficient curing process, helping us achieve smoother, harder and more consistent finishes while significantly reducing drying times.

The system is particularly effective for MDF and temperature-sensitive materials, as it operates at lower temperatures than conventional drying systems. This helps reduce the risk of fibre raising, warping, swelling or movement within MDF panels while still allowing coatings to cure rapidly and professionally.

Using Schubox® technology allows us to produce factory-quality finishes with improved durability, better colour consistency and faster project completion times.

Benefits of our Schubox® drying system.

  • Faster drying and curing times
  • Superior MDF spray-finish quality
  • Reduced risk of warping or fibre raise
  • Improved coating durability and hardness
  • Consistent colour and sheen levels
  • Ideal for modern water-based coatings
  • Faster turnaround for customer projects
  • Lower operating temperatures for MDF protection
  • Cleaner and more efficient curing process
  • Professional factory-quality results

By combining premium coatings, professional spray application and advanced Schubox® curing technology, PaintSpray delivers exceptional spray finishes built to last.

Why curing matters.

A finish can appear dry at the surface before the full film has developed adequate hardness. Controlled curing supports handling, stacking and onward processing while reducing the amount of open workshop time during which dust or contamination can affect the surface.

01 · Better throughput

Reduced waiting time helps projects progress through preparation, coating and inspection more efficiently.

02 · More consistent film

Even curing supports repeatable sheen, colour and surface performance across a batch.

03 · MDF protection

Lower-temperature operation is valuable when processing temperature-sensitive components.

04 · Cleaner workflow

Faster controlled curing reduces the time freshly coated work remains exposed in the production environment.
